What is QiSites?
QiSites is a simple, flexible, search engine friendly website system for acupuncturists. We provide elegant website templates, prewritten AOM content, stock images, and an easy to use website editor so you can update your website anytime. Free domain name registration is included (or use a domain you already have), along with website hosting, custom email addresses, and ongoing technical support.
How long does it take?
Your website will be ready in about 1 business day.
Can I work offline until I'm ready to go public?
Yes, just select the StealthMode option during the signup process and your website will be password protected until you are ready to go live. While in StealthMode visitors will just see a "Coming Soon" message.
Can I switch to QiSites without any downtime?
Yes. If you have an existing website we can facilitate your transition by setting you up with a temporary domain name. This will allow you to work on your new website while keeping your existing website up and running. When you are ready for your new website to go live, we make the transition seamless — no website downtime and no lost emails. Contact support for details.
Domain Name
What is a domain name?
Your domain name is the address of your website, e.g. myacupuncturesite.com. Choose an available domain name and we will register it for you at no extra cost. If you're not sure what name to choose, we have some suggestions.
Can I keep my domain name if I cancel my QiSites account?
Yes. If you ever decide to cancel your QiSites account but wish to keep your domain name, just contact support to request a Change of Registrant.
What if I already have a domain name?
That's fine. You'll just need to direct traffic to our servers by logging in to your domain registrar's website and changing the nameservers (we can help you).

Can I switch to a different domain name?
Your account is directly tied to your domain name. If you choose to switch to a different domain name after signing up, there will be a $59 setup fee for reconfiguring your account.
Updating Your Website
How do I edit my website?
One of the great benefits of QiSites is our intuitive, user-friendly website editor. The website editor enables you to edit your text, add links, embed photos and videos, upload images and documents, even perform search engine optimization! Entering text and applying basic formatting is similar to using Word or an email program.
How many pages can my website have?
You can create as many pages as you want. The website editor lets you easily add new pages (we don't charge by the page). Organizing your navigation menu is easy as well, with our simple drag & drop organizer.
Is there prewritten content?
Yes, we preconfigure your website with several pages of professionally written content, which you can easily edit to suit your needs. If you're looking to get started quickly you can just enter your business name, contact information and professional bio and you'll be ready to go! The prewritten pages are:

Can I have a blog?
Yes, there's a fully integrated, easy to use blogging engine that you can enable with a single click.
Can I have a downloadable intake form?
Absolutely. You can upload forms and other documents in PDF format (recommended) or other supported formats such as Word or Excel.
Can I add my own photos to my website?
Definitely. You can upload photos in any web-ready format (.jpg, .png, .gif). We give you enough storage space for thousands of images.
Hosting & Email
Is website hosting included?
Yes. QiSites is a fully hosted service, so your website hosting is included. You also have 3GB of storage to upload documents and photos.
Can I have email addresses with my domain name?
Yes. You can have up to 3 custom email addresses with your domain, e.g. info@somesite.com. We configure email accounts using Google Apps so your custom emails will work just like Google Gmail accounts. Each account has a 7GB inbox and access to POP and IMAP (for use with Outlook, Mail, iPhone, Android, Blackberry, etc.).
Webmaster Support
Is there tech support?
Yes. QiSites is very easy to use, so you'll be able to do most things by yourself. But if you get stuck we're here to help. We can answer basic website questions, assist you in learning the website editor, and resolve any technical issues on your website.
I'm not good with computers. Is QiSites a good choice for me?
Yes! We've designed the QiSites website editor to be remarkably simple to use. We provide video tutorials that demonstrate common tasks like creating new pages, adding photos and uploading an intake form. And if you get stuck, we're here to help.
I have some 3rd party code. Can you add it to my website?
HTML source code for things like Google Maps, PayPal buttons, newsletter signup forms and Facebook badges can usually be added to your site through HTML source tool in the website editor. However if you need assistance we'd be happy to help you.
I have a logo. Can you add it to my website?
Sure. We can integrate your logo into the top banner area of your website at no extra charge.
Can you customize my website's colors?
Yes. Design customization work is billed at a rate of $100/hour (half hour minimum).
Technical Requirements
Do I need special software to use QiSites?
No. To use the website editor you will need a computer with an internet connection and a standard web browser. We support recent versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari as well as Internet Explorer 8+.
Billing Questions
How does payment work?
Our service works on a monthly subscription basis. You can cancel anytime. Payments are accepted via credit card.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. There's no long-term contract and no termination fee. You may cancel any time through the Settings panel in the Website Editor.
If I change my mind can I get a refund?
